I really enjoyed it, has great potential. Here’s my feedback - I think a couple of tweaks would make this a really strong entry
- speed up the movement a bit. It does feel like you’re underwater, but it’s just extremely slow to where my brain can’t stay engaged
- possibly add some checkpoints? The beginning was rough, because 2 hits = death plus the slow movement was pretty frustrating
- make the map a bit clearer. Some rooms didn’t show up on the map (like the creature you give the fish to) and I wish it showed doors as well. It’s very hard to interpret as is, I would just make it closer to a Metroid zero mission type of map
but ya, otherwise I loved the ambience and art style, the level design was cool, and I like the whole concept

Yeah! I gave the aquanaut 3 HP instead of 2 to make the beginning a little easier. (No change to movement speed though)
